France!

Here are some shots from our trip to France in September, my first time to Europe!  The square images were taken with my old Yashica medium format camera, a Christmas gift from my dear friend Leena.

Portrait artist, Sacre Coeur, Paris.

I’ve seen these before, featured in high-end fashion shoots and also in Sofia Coppola’s ‘Marie Antoinette’, and just recently learned that they are the classic French macaroon.  We bought some as gifts, but the rest we devoured  before the plane ride home.
Little French girl and her Father, Montmartre.

Little nook, Annecy.

Two musicians playing cheerful music, outside of a cafe.
The obligatory Eiffel Tower shot; more stunning in person (and at night)!

Beautiful old church outside of the Opera district, Paris.
To say that the food in France is good would be a sad understatement.  Here, a duck-wing cassoulet with white beans…These people are no joke!
